I would prefer to be in an Urban Fantasy arena, but I don’t think I own enough black leather. However, I have moved out of that New Adult stage of my life and am now strictly in the Contemporary Romance age zone of 28. Gosh, we all seem to be admitting our ages…and I hate that I am at the point in life when admitting my age is a “thing”…whodda thunk it? I was kind of hoping I would remain 21 forever. I highly recommend you give it a go, by the end you will dying to be one of the Rock Chicks and snag one of the Hot Bunch for your very own. It’s now a finished series, so if you want to pop on the Rock Chick roller coaster and ride it from the beginning to the end you now can. Which, is another thing I love about this series the heroines are just as unforgettable as the heroes. It’s exuberance is charming and you can’t help but fall in love with the characters, especially the heroines.
This book will make you laugh, it will probably make you roll your eyes a little as well, but that doesn’t stop it from being fabulously entertaining. The mad antics, the colourful characters, the kidnappings, the explosions, Tex. Sometimes, it doesn’t even make such sense. However, there is one series that I have loved above all others. For me, I remember her earlier series, such as the Burg and Dream Man series fondly, they smashed right into my heart and now hold a permanent place there. Whether that’s for better or worse is a matter of personal preference.
Can anyone remember a time before Kristen Ashley crashed in to the romance book world? I may be mis-remembering, but it seemed like Ashley ushered in the era of the Uber Alpha within contemporary romance.
